Biography
Automatic 7, punk rockers out of New Jersey, delivered a vocal growl echoing SoCal revivalists while shaping a distinctive brash rock approach all their own. The trio came together in New Brunswick during the mid-'90s, with vocalist John Hulett, bassist Nic Nifoussi, and guitarist Phil Jaurigui forging jaunty punk-pop inside a hardcore shell that ranted about the downward spirals of drugs and deception. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1996; the next release, 2001's Beggar's Life, became the band's first on Vagrant Records.
