Biography
Guitarist Jeff Golub drew from jazz, blues, and rock foundations while collaborating with Rod Stewart and additional prominent artists, an experience that preceded his debut solo effort, the 1988 album Unspoken Words. A few years afterward he assembled Avenue Blue, aiming to probe the gentler dimensions of blues and jazz. The ensemble’s self-titled debut also includes trumpeter and flugelhornist Rick Braun, drummer David Palmer, keyboardist Kevin Savagar, acoustic bassist Jack Daro, and electric bassist Cliff Hugo.
