Originating from West London in the U.K., Ay Em operates as a rapper and hip-hop artist. His first release surfaced in March 2018 through "Snowflake," a hazy trap-style cut that highlighted his melodic vocal approach. The subsequent month brought "Come to Me," a tropical house-influenced single issued as a collaboration with fellow London-based rapper Afro B and featuring Manchester-based Geko. Ay Em also appeared on Dappy's single "Oh My" during May 2018.
