Aydra

Hailing from Italy, Aydra channels an intensely intricate and convention-shattering strain of death-jazz reminiscent of Florida's Atheist. The lineup centers on vocalist and bassist Mauro Pacetti, guitarists Francesco Olivi and Marcello Lammoglia, and drummer Nicola Raffaeli. Though the band took shape in the mid-'90s, with their debut EP Psycho Pain Control appearing in 1996, the first album Icon of Sin did not emerge until 2001.
