Biography
B. Bravo, the solo project of Adam Mori and a Red Bull Music Academy alumnus, has placed his contemporary funk productions with labels such as Frite Nite and Bastard Jazz while also securing licensing placements on anthologies from Tokyo Dawn and Brownswood Recordings, the latter run by Gilles Peterson. Drawing strong influence from the synthesizer-rich R&B of the late 1970s and early 1980s, he issued his first recording in 2009, the seven-track Analog Starship EP. The following year brought a more compact extended play titled Computa Love, whose title cut had already earned support from BBC DJ Benji B several months ahead of its release. Steady momentum built through a run of additional singles and EPs over the next several years, coinciding with extensive touring and festival appearances. His first output for Bastard Jazz arrived in 2016 as the 7" single "I'm for Real," which he followed in 2017 with Paradise, his initial full-length album featuring vocals from Reva DeVito, Trailer Limon, Kissey, and Lauren Faith.
