Biography
Formed more than ten years ago on Martinique, the group anchors its explorations in traditional bele rhythms, also called belair, while venturing across a spectrum that extends from jazz to afro-beat. Although the results are inconsistent, the strongest passages yield music that feels strikingly original and charged with energy.
