Frank Zappa came up with this fleeting ensemble while he ran Studio Z in Cucamonga, California, USA. He composed the tracks ‘How’s Your Bird’ and ‘The World’s Greatest Sinner’, both of which were taped and subsequently licensed to Bob Keene’s Donna label, resulting in a single issued during March 1963. Guitar duties fell to Zappa across the two sides, which also included vocals from Ray Collins, later a member of the Mothers Of Invention. The second song never surfaced on the soundtrack to the low-budget film sharing its title, even though Zappa scored that movie during the same stretch.
