Baby Teeth

Vocalist and keyboardist Pearly Sweets, born Abraham Levitan, teams with drummer Peter Andreadis and bassist Jim Cooper to form the theatrically wry Baby Teeth. The Chicago-based indie rock trio came together in 2003, drawing on a wide range of sounds that include Elton John, Hall & Oates, prog rock, and D.C. punk. Their first release on Lujo, The Baby Teeth Album, arrived in summer 2005. A year later came the For the Heathers EP. That same March the group appeared at the annual South by Southwest conference, sharing bills with Andy Dick & the Bitches of the Century, Awesome Cool Dudes, and Cooper’s other project, the Detholz. Outside his work with Baby Teeth, Sweets also handles keyboards for Bobby Conn & the Glass Gypsies.
