Biography
Born in Brighton, England, the Latin show band Bacalao built their following with high-energy stage shows fronted by Colombian vocalists Diego Monsalve and Rafael Berrio. Their sets mixed reworked classics that merged cha-cha and ska while drawing on jazz, rock, punk, and reggae to sustain packed dancefloors. The bulk of summer 2008 found the group on the festival circuit at Glastonbury, Dorchester, the Beachdown Festival, and the Southport International Jazz Festival.
