New York-based experimental rock band Bad Powers delivers expansive, atmospheric, and undeniably visceral music through a hard-hitting style that fuses post-punk, avant metal, and classic underground noise rock. The resulting sound unleashes shape-shifting discontent whose artisan unpredictability recalls Faith No More and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum while echoing the primal histrionics of the Jesus Lizard and Big Black. Formed by ex-Made Out of Babies members Brendan Tobin (guitar), Cooper (bass), and Matthew Egan (drums) together with ex-Family Curse vocalist Megan Tweed, the quartet issued its eponymous debut studio album on The End Records in September 2012.
