Badfish

Badfish earned acclaim across California's shoreline thanks to their catchy rhythms and lively performances, establishing themselves as a premier reggae act in the western region. The lineup features vocalist Ruben Salazar alongside DJ Chicho D, bassist Brooce Lee, drummer Mark Paul, guitarist Chris Evans, keyboardist Lucas Earley, turntablist DJ Panic, and saxophonist Sean Chaffins. Originating with shows in the Long Beach vicinity, the group swiftly attracted fans following their 1998 onstage introduction. Progressing from numerous house gatherings and intimate venues, they advanced into Los Angeles nightlife circuits, drawing notice from fellow musicians. In 2001, after assembling a full record, the ensemble contributed one song to the Music to Get Undressed By soundtrack and subsequently released Whole Heap the following year.
