Hailing from Chicago, Bailiff unleashes an intense blues-rooted sound that edges close to what some might label "progressive swamp." Guitarist and vocalist Josh Siegel joins drummer Ren Mathew, along with whichever bassist joins them for any given stretch, in earning steady notice on the local club circuit thanks to their high-voltage shows, and the group laid down its four-song EP Mm Hmmm straight to two-inch analog tape with Tim Sandusky at Studio Ballistico in Chicago during 2007.
