Biography
Emerging from Jamaica, rapper Bam Marley fuses his reggae heritage with elements of pop and rap, effortlessly shifting styles both in his solo work and through joint projects with fellow artists. The eldest son of Ziggy Marley and thus the eldest grandson of Bob Marley, he was born Daniel Bambaata Marley. His entry into the music scene came in 2009 via the debut single "Live It Inna Fear," crafted under the production of his uncle Damien Marley. Initial team-ups included the 2010 track "My Girl" alongside cousin Jo Mersa Marley, as well as "Changes" with his father Ziggy Marley the next year. Amid several standalone releases, he joined the Internet for their 2015 offering "Get Away." Acting entered the picture in 2017 with a role in the Danny Glover-led movie Vagabonds. Subsequent singles such as "Deadbeat," "In a Ray," "Pretty Butterfly," and "UFO" paved the way for his 2020 mini-album M.E.S.A., Pt. 1.
