Biography
In 1966 Robert Plant launched Band of Joy, years before he became the voice of Led Zeppelin. Repeated clashes with management drove him to depart and launch a rival edition of the group, an effort that dissolved after John Bonham had already joined its ranks. Underground mod circles embraced the act, yet it folded in 1968 once no legitimate recording contract appeared.
