Biography
A hard-driving blues ensemble specializing in swamp rock, Barbecue Bob & the Spareribs earned their stripes as regulars on the New York City and New Jersey bar circuit. Songwriter Robert Pomeroy supplies vocals, guitar, and harmonica in the classic Spareribs configuration, which also includes Ira Spinrad on guitar, Dominick Zarillo on bass, and Scott Byrne on drums. Three albums have appeared on the DaDa label in CD format: After School Special, Pass the Biscuits!, and The Sacred & the Propane.
