Bearfoot

Keyboardist Dwayne Ford teamed up with guitarists Terry Danko and Jim Atkinson during the early 1970s in Toronto, leading the three musicians to adopt the straightforward moniker Atkinson, Danko and Ford. The addition of drummer Brian Hilton along with guitarist Hugh Brockie prompted a name adjustment to Atkinson, Danko & Ford with Brockie & Hilton for their 1972 self-titled release. By 1974 the ensemble had stabilized after bassist Chris Vickery came aboard, at which point the group became known as Bearfoot. That same year saw the Canadian success of two tracks, "Molly" and "Passing Time." Under the billing Dwayne Ford & Bearfoot, the album Passing Time appeared in 1975. Ford's solo endeavors, which also originated in the early 1970s, yielded the 1981 album Needless Freaking containing the hit singles "Lovin' and Losin' You" and "Hurricane."
