Biography
Marc Burger on drums and Marcel van den Berg on bass, both previously active in Penguin, joined forces in Rotterdam after logging years across multiple local groups in their native Holland. They linked up with guitarist and singer Robert van Driel, who had earlier kept time for Juvenile Delinquents, and the three launched Beavershot in 2001. Drawing from psychobilly roots and citing the Reverend Horton Heat alongside the Cramps as key touchstones, the band issued its self-titled debut album two years later through Raucous Records.
