Biography
Forming amid the vibrant Champaign-Urbana, Illinois scene, indie-pop trio Beezus issued their debut LP Breakfast Was Weird in 1995. Singer/guitarist Loretta Gaffney, singer/bassist Elizabeth Majerus, and drummer Joy Gadrinab comprised the lineup. The group returned in 1997 with the excellent Lives of the Saints. Second guitarist Brian Runk joined the following year, but Beezus ended with a farewell show in Chicago on January 5, 1999. Majerus soon launched Villacoula, while Gadrinab and Runk married and moved to New York. The posthumous Beezus EP Dashboard appeared later that same year.
