Biography
Takaakira "Taka" Goto, the founding guitarist of Japanese instrumental rock band Mono, operates Behind the Shadow Drops as his lone venture apart from the group. Moving away from Mono’s expansive post-rock, the project draws on dark trip-hop, minimalism, modern classical, and further influences. Goto started Behind the Shadow Drops in 2016 after issuing a record credited solely to himself the previous year. Temporary Residence released the project’s first album, Harmonic, in 2017.
