Believe

Mirek Gil, a guitarist who helped launch Collage, assembled the Polish progressive-metal outfit Believe by drawing on the remnants of that earlier band and recruiting his former colleagues, bassist Przemek Zawadzki and vocalist-guitarist Tomek Rozycki. The lineup expanded with the addition of drummer Wlodek Tafel and keyboardist Adam Milosz; the group then took the uncommon step, within metal circles, of placing violinist Satomi in a central role and tracked its first album, Hope to See Another Day, in 2006. Despite Milosz’s subsequent exit, the musicians pressed ahead and issued the ambitious follow-up Yesterday Is a Friend in 2008.
