Biography
Bella Bizelle, raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, first performed in choirs as a child and later began singing R&B while still attending high school. Her vocal approach and extroverted stage presence recalled the work of Rihanna and Aaliyah, prompting the artist to sign with Michigan-based FrontStreet and issue her debut single, “Klockin,” in 2011. She followed that release with four additional singles the next year, one of which—“You’ll Never Know”—won MTVU’s “The Freshman” competition.
