Biography
The primary force behind Bells Of was Washington, D.C.-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Lawrence McDonald. He launched the project in 1992 via the album 11:11, an eclectic set of home recordings assembled with multiple guest musicians. Material reaching back to 1986 surfaced on the 1994 follow-up Two Dos or Not 2?, which placed greater emphasis on McDonald’s increasingly jazzy guitar work, and the third Bells Of album, 3's Company, appeared soon afterward. The fourth release, 4 Your Listening Pleasure, came out in 1999.
