Biography
Ben Demerath earns worldwide acclaim as a singer and songwriter for his masterful command of acoustic performance and his standing as one of the leading tenors in folk and bluegrass. The year 1992 marked the formation of his traditional bluegrass group SugarBeat, assembled with renowned banjo player Tony Furtado, vocalist Sally Truit, and mandolinist Matt Flinner. Four years later the ensemble dissolved, prompting Demerath to begin composing material for a planned solo release. Teaming with fellow bluegrass instrumentalist Mike Marshall, he delivered his debut Jack of Fools in early 2000.
