Biography
Benjamin Dean Wilson crafts an eccentric strain of indie pop that merges clever character storytelling with quirky melodic playfulness, evoking the space between Stephin Merritt and Adam Green. Drawing from an expansive range of inspirations spanning Franz Schubert to Leonard Cohen and Meat Loaf, the Oklahoma native laid down his debut LP, Small Talk, entirely on his own inside a modest shed just beyond his Tulsa residence. Those singular compositions caught the ear of German label Tapete Records, which released Small Talk on an international scale in April 2016.
