Bert Robinson's concise yet forceful approach, paired with deep emotional resonance, positioned him as an emerging standout in urban contemporary music. His first full-length release, No More Cold Nights, showcased the striking track "Heart of Gold," which climbed to number five on the R&B chart. Earlier, Robinson had joined Peggie Blu for the duet "All the Way With You." Nevertheless, a 1989 follow-up marked his final appearance before he disappeared from view.
