Betrayer

Betrayer, a Canadian outfit rooted in hard rock and heavy metal, came together when Jeff Klingbeil (vocals, guitar) and Shawn Bastien (drums, percussion) recruited William Lozon (guitars) and Norm Michaud (bass). The group sharpened its skills through steady live performances, secured a recording contract, and issued the EP Shadowed Force followed by the album Rusted Icons. The track "Headed for Disaster" appeared on a compilation bundled with the Canadian metal publication Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles. Beyond their achievements on the independent metal circuit, the band shared bills with leading acts in the field, among them Iron Maiden, Dio, and Motörhead.
