Biography
The Bharat Nepali Party, guided by multi-instrumentalist Bharat Nepali who also functions as its singer and songwriter, has played an essential role in safeguarding Nepal’s traditional musical heritage. Vocals performed in the Nepali language receive support from sarangi, a bowed stringed instrument, together with guitar, tabla, cymbal, and flute. Captured during a May 1995 session in Kathmandu, Nepal, the ensemble appeared on the various-artists collection Himalaya Roots: Traditional Music of Nepal.
