Throughout her professional journey focused on young audiences, the actress, musician, and songwriter Bia Bedran earned several awards, among them the Prêmio MEC from the National Department of Education, the Mambembe trophy recognizing her productions Música Para Brincar e Cantar (Music to Play and Sing) as well as Bloco da Palhoça in 1981, and the Coca-Cola prize for Children's Theatre bestowed upon Bia Canta e Conta (Bia Sings and Tells Stories) in 1990. Her collaborations include work with Nick Zarvos, Ana Maria Machado, and Sidney Matos. Between 1987 and 1993, Bedran hosted the program Canta Conto on the public channel TV Educativa in Rio de Janeiro. Brazilian audiences have enjoyed her music and storytelling performances across the country ever since 1988. In addition to her numerous television appearances, she has produced nine children's music albums, authored and published three books for children along with a CD-ROM, and taken part in the children's musical Você Não Me Pega created by Rildo Hora and Martinho da Vila.
