Biafra

Biafra assembled the ensemble O Circo in 1975, resulting in a recorded album and a series of engagements that took the group across the state of Rio de Janeiro. Two selections from his first LP Primeira Nuvem reached the charts once he reached the age of 21 in 1979, namely “Helena” and “Barcos e Navios.” His strongest run of popularity unfolded from the closing years of the 1970s into the opening years of the 1980s, anchored by numbers such as “Leão Ferido,” composed jointly with Dalto, “Sonho de Ícaro” by Cláudio Rabello and Pisca, “Seu Nome” also credited to Pisca, and “Vinho Antigo” written by Dalto and Cláudio Rabello.
