Biography
In 1928 a solitary Columbia session in Johnson City, Tennessee, produced the sole three sides ever cut by Bill & Belle Reed. Even with such scant output, the pair’s “Old Lady and the Devil” was later included in Harry Smith’s 1952 Anthology of American Folk Music.
