Biography
Bill Easley has long demonstrated exceptional range and skill as a reed specialist, projecting a refined yet powerful tone across alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, flute, and clarinet. During the 1960s he enrolled at Memphis State University, after which he joined forces with Isaac Hayes and contributed to sessions at Stax. Upon relocating once more to New York, Easley completed recordings for Sunnyside and Milestone. His sideman work has included appearances with Sir Roland Hanna, James Williams, Bill Mobley, Mulgrew Miller, Grady Tate, George Caldwell, Victor Gaskin, and Billy Higgins, among additional collaborators.
