Biography
From Boston, MA, Bird Mancini unites four seasoned musicians in a blend of jazzy blues and rock & roll. The band takes its name from vocalist and keyboardist Ruby Bird together with guitarist Billy Carl Mancini, both previously of the Sky Blues. On the rhythm side, Bangalore’s Sven Larson handles bass while David Roy Kulik—formerly of the Roys and Four Piece Suit—plays drums. In 2002 Bird Mancini issued its debut album via Second Story Productions. Guest spots on the record feature Boston luminaries “Sax” Gordon Beadle, Dan Kellar of Tar Box Ramblers, and Phil Kaplan of Men & Volts, Bangalore, and the Funeral Barkers.
