Biography
Bird of Youth functions primarily as the outlet for singer/songwriter Beth Wawerna, crafting melodic folk-pop with strong '80s influences. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Wawerna moved to Brooklyn at a later point, initiating her songwriting and live performances there. The band's first album, Defender, came out in 2011 under the production guidance of Will Sheff from Okkervil River.
