Bjarki crafts techno as an Icelandic producer, moving fluidly between direct dancefloor cuts and atmospheric ambient excursions while also exploring vintage breakbeat-driven rave and IDM palettes. Born Bjarki Runar Sigurdarson in Reykjavik in 1990, he first appeared under the alias Kid Mistik toward the close of the 2000s. Russian house DJ and producer Nina Kraviz discovered his material and began issuing it on her Trip label in 2014. After several compilation spots, his initial standalone record arrived as the 2015 12" Arthur and Intergalactic Whales, containing the plainspoken yet powerful "I Wanna Go Bang," one of that year's standout club successes. The next year he drew on a deep archive of unreleased tracks to deliver three full-lengths via Trip. The opening album, Б, surfaced in June, with Lefhanded Fuqs and Æ arriving in quick succession.
