Biography
Following the Beta Band's 2004 dissolution, Steve Mason launched multiple solo ventures, among them Black Affair, whose sleek nocturnal synth pop carried reverb-tinged textures that recalled New Order, the Scissor Sisters, and the Legends. V2 Records issued Black Affair's first single, "Tak Attack," during autumn 2007. Spring of the next year brought the follow-up single "It's Real," while "Japanese Happening" was slated for June. That same autumn was chosen for the release of the project's debut album, Pleasure Pressure Point.
