Biography
Known professionally as Black Dada, singer-songwriter Davidson Pierre crafts polished anthems tailored for clubs and urban settings. A Haitian-American based in southeast Florida, he developed his reputation through independent solo material as well as by supplying vocal hooks for various local rappers. The boastful, melodic single "Imma Zoe" emerged as a regional favorite, earning him a contract with Universal Republic arranged through Strictly Business. This major-label partnership propelled "Imma Zoe" to number 90 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart in September 2009. Universal Republic issued additional singles from him the next year, though none matched that level of resonance. After parting ways with the label, Pierre kept issuing solo tracks and hooks, including the combative "F'em," which Avalon Music Group released in 2016.
