Biography
Formed in 1993 by Baron Drakkonian Abaddon, born Michael Ford Nachttoter, the Indianapolis black metal group Black Funeral took shape as his singular project. A year on came the band’s debut release, Journeys into Horizons Lost, followed in 1995 by Vampyr--Throne of the Beast. After issuing Empire of Blood in 1997, Abaddon dissolved Black Funeral, expressing his revulsion at the worsening state of black metal culture.
