Biography
In 2013 the shoegaze supergroup Black Hearted Brother assembled around Neil Halstead, the acclaimed singer/songwriter formerly of Slowdive and Mojave 3, together with Nick Holton of Opulent Oog and Mark Van Hoen, founding member of Seefeel. Although the three musicians had previously intersected and contributed to projects in separate contexts, Black Hearted Brother marked their first joint effort as a band, combining epic space rock with the expansive, atmospheric textures each had cultivated elsewhere. Their debut, the highly experimental and lengthy Stars Are Our Home, surfaced on Slumberland Records in late 2013, after which they scheduled a run of U.S. tour dates.
