Biography
Black Tie Dynasty came together in Fort Worth, Texas, taking cues from new wave and post-punk revival acts like Editors and the Bravery. The group’s roster includes Cory Watson on vocals and guitar, Eddie Thomas at the drums, Blake McWhorter on bass, and Brian McCorquodale handling keyboard and vocals. After signing with Idol Records, the band issued its debut EP, This Stays Between Us, in March 2005, then delivered the LP Movements the following April. Its touring résumé features support slots with Spoon, VHS or Beta, and Guided by Voices.
