Blessed

Born in Jamaica and later based in Canada, reggae artist and performer Blessed started composing songs as a young boy in the Caribbean. After moving to Canada at age 12, he refined his craft and emerged as a critically and commercially respected hitmaker. Blessed received the 2002 Juno Award for Reggae for the single “Love (African Woman),” which also reached number one in several countries. In 2006 he claimed another Juno for the track “Reggae Time.” He then signed with the Universal imprint Explorer and issued his self-titled debut album. In 2008 Blessed earned a fourth Juno Award nomination for that year’s ceremony.
