Norris McHenry chose the recording alias Blind Norris for a pair of selections—“Longest Train Blues” and “Long Road Blues”—cut on October 25, 1929, in Dallas, Texas. Two further titles, “Sundown Blues” and “The Katy Blues,” were captured for Decca Records in Dallas on February 8, 1937, with Alex Moore supplying piano and Andrew Hogg on guitar. No additional sides by the performer have come to light, yet commentators have observed that Blind Norris, who relies chiefly on whistling across the dates, bears an uncanny resemblance to Billiken Johnson.
