Biography
Bo Ramsey, a singer and songwriter rooted in Eastern Iowa, absorbed the rockabilly of Sun Records along with the blues artists who defined the Chess label in the 1950s. Over twenty years he sharpened his skills by playing the farm and factory towns of his home region, at last drawing broad attention when he opened for Lucinda Williams on her 1994 solo acoustic tour. He also served as guitarist and co-producer for fellow Iowan Greg Brown, an association that preceded the arrival of his debut album, In the Weeds, issued by the Trailer label in 1997.
