Bobby

Korean-American pop artist Bobby first rose to prominence through his role in the K-pop act iKon before branching into solo work during 2016. Born Kim Ji-won in Seoul, his childhood unfolded in Fairfax, Virginia, where he remained until his mid-teens, then moved back to Korea upon reaching the age of 16. A 2011 deal with YG Entertainment placed him in front of audiences on multiple reality programs. Victory on Show Me the Money in 2014, earned for his rap abilities, prompted his addition to the freshly assembled seven-member outfit iKon. The septet entered the scene in 2015 via the album Welcome Back. Exactly twelve months afterward, Kim issued his first solo release, the single “Holup,” which appeared on the joint The Mobb EP with rapper Mino. Late in 2017 he delivered his initial full-length project, Love and Fall, an effort that reached number two on the Billboard World Albums chart and spotlighted the tracks “I Love You” and “Runaway.”
