Biography
Aske Bode and Andreas Brixen launched the project Bodebrixen during the summer of 2006 in Aarhus, Denmark. Both musicians carried jazz pedigrees and first crossed paths at a summer jazz intensive, initially shaping the act as a strictly instrumental outfit before steering it toward bright indie pop in the vein of I’m from Barcelona, Lacrosse, and Hello Saferide within the following year. Their self-titled debut album appeared on Good Tape Records in 2008. Early the next year the duo revisited numerous tracks from that release and paired them with fresh material for the follow-up full-length Whatsinsidewhatsoutside, which surfaced in autumn 2009.
