Biography
Hailing from Colorado, Bodragaz craft melodic yet highly dynamic progressive rock fused with symphonic-tinged heavy metal. The group originated in the mid-'90s, built around founding members Michael Layer (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jim Wescott (bass, vocals), and Kevin Shaw (guitars, vocals), with Charles J. Dickey (guitars, keyboards) and Dino Cuneo (drums, programming) completing the lineup. After issuing their self-titled debut in 1996, Bodragaz sustained a consistent flow of well-received albums that includes 1997's Somewhere in Switzerland, 1999's Epoch, 2002's Solid Sound, 2005's Clear, and 2008's Awaken. Worldwide touring has remained a regular activity, during which they have supported Bon Jovi, Slaughter, and Spock's Beard. Symphony, the band's fifth studio album, appeared in 2012.
