Bonanza emerged in 1993 with its first long-player, Mas Que Oro, issued by a sextet of energetic and skilled players hailing from Jalisco, Mexico. The ensemble found immediate traction across its native country while simultaneously building audiences in Paraguay and Argentina, where multiple tracks from the '90s climbed U.S. charts, among them “Abrazame” and “Sabor a Nada.” Core instrumental identity has been maintained by the steady presence of Arturo DeLaIsla on vocals, Ruben Aguilera on percussion, and Jehu Sanchez on bass, even as the remainder of the roster experienced modest turnover.

WEA Latina issued the follow-up effort Reflejo del Sol in 1994. EMI then delivered Entre Suenos the next year, after which Fonovis put out Soy Rebelde in 1996, spotlighting the standout cuts “Te Tengo Que Olvidar” and “Veneno.” In May 2000 Lideres unveiled Sin Verte, a collection that opens and closes on its namesake track.
