Biography
Berlin-based rock band Bonaparte earned the occasional tag "visual trash punk" through a lo-fi punk aesthetic paired with deliberately bizarre stage antics. Tobias Jundt established the project in 2006, shaping it as a fluid collective rather than a conventional group; its outrageous live shows soon drew notice within the underground scene. After signing with Staatsakt, the band issued its debut album Too Much in 2008, then followed with the 2009 double album Remuched, which collected remixes alongside live recordings. The track "Anti Anti" appeared in the 2010 film 13 Semester, and the subsequent releases My Horse Likes You that same year and Sorry, We're Open in 2012 brought wider audiences while retaining the group’s unruly blend of electro punk, synth pop, rock, and hip-hop.
