Biography
From San Francisco, BoyJazz hold firm to a pair of mottos: "Party hearty and don't be tardy" alongside "Don't bore us, get to the chorus." The year 2002 marked the start of their distorted arena rock aimed at indie audiences, emerging when Adam Hobbs, known as Sexmouth, and Aaron Levin, aka Supertouch, named their joint studio project BoyJazz. Tracks steeped in hedonism and hard rock, including "Potfinger" and "Stank on the Halo," stood out on the group's first album, In the City Tonight, issued by Frenetic in 2004. As that year closed, the cut "Lookin for You" from the record appeared in Dance Dance Revolution Ultra Mix 2, coinciding with BoyJazz expanding into a complete performing ensemble featuring Eric "Stiff Digits" Murray handling lead guitar duties, "Masculine" Dan Brubaker on rhythm guitar, and Alex "Clay Hunt" Pauley providing bass lines.
