Biography
Since forming in the early 1990s, the six-piece California outfit Boyz Nite Out has sustained the tradition of doo wop by delivering classic pop, rock, and R&B numbers such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," "My Girl," and "Under The Boardwalk." Mark Baldi, Bill Craig, Tom Griffin, Tony Ridenour, Eugene Rocha, and Jon Moore first crossed paths in 1990 as students at American River College in Sacramento. What began as an informal pastime ended when the members went separate ways, only to reconvene in 1993 with a firm commitment to building a professional music career. The award-winning ensemble has since issued multiple albums—Rho Sham Bo, Director's Cut, and American Vinyl—while cultivating an audience that spans the globe. In addition, the group has supplied tracks for advertising spots and appeared alongside artists that range from Ray Charles and the Drifters to Jefferson Starship, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and comedian Dennis Miller.
