Biography
Brace/Choir, an experimental shoegaze outfit, came together in Berlin during 2006. Christoph Adrian, Alex Samuels, Max Gassmann, and Dave Youssef made up the quartet, whose vocalist/multi-instrumentalists rotated instruments and vocal duties from track to track. Their gradually unfolding releases drew on Krautrock legends such as Faust, shoegaze staples of the '80s and '90s, and the lingering space rock of the early Kranky Records roster. A self-titled, self-released EP appeared in 2010, with the more fully realized album Turning on Your Double arriving in 2014.
